MOvember

So I was sharing my new found

OBSESSION
of
MUSTACHES
with my husband this morning
and how my almost five year old is having a
MUSTACHE PARTY
whether he likes it or not.

And he says, "Yeah, I'm growing a mustache for Movember."
And I said, "Crazy man says what?"
And he says, "Google it."
So I do.
And it's a real thing.
A real important thing - to raise awareness for men's health issues.
In the US the money raised by the Movember Foundation
are used to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.

Who knew.
I didn't.

So, my hubby is growing a mo - as they say in Australia - or a 'stache here in the US
and will be a MO BRO
and I will be sporting a mo necklace so I can be a
MO SISTA.

We've Been Gettin'

all sortsa crafty up in here!

On Tuesday I took a break from life and went to Ladies' Night.
I started it about 2 years or so ago - maybe longer -
and this year I delegated the responsibility for planning each month
to each member.
My cool friend Jamie hosted this month and she had
us make a fun Halloween Craft.
Well, the OC was bought out of cute light fixtures,
so I used glasses :)
And since I use LED candles,
oxygen isn't an issue.

By the skin of my teeth I finished my son's pumpkin costume for his preschool party.

PHEW!
I combined 2 different patterns - Simplicity and Precious Patterns.

We got all fancy and made the bat candy bar covers from Skip To My Lou.

And since he was a pumpkin - we had to make these pumpkin marshmallows
that I found at Betty Crocker Wannabe.

My little girl wasn't too please the her brother got to wear
a costume and go to a party without her.
So we came home and made some Jack'o'Lantern quesadillas
that Craft-O-Maniac made.

She loved it!

she kept telling me they were SPOOKY!What have you been up to?

My sister-in-law texted me a picture of this candy corn wreath she made.

I am a ruffle fiend.

handbags, hair accessories.

CUW Boutique and Luncheon
Saturday, October 23rd
8am-Noon
Disneyland Hotel - Ballroom

Net proceeds from both the luncheon and the boutique are donated to Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services, a multifaceted, non-profit agency, addressing the problems of at-risk youth on probation and children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

Here's a sneak peek of what's debuting on Saturday!
