Natalie, Kristen, Jaime, Heidi, Jenn, Me, Tasha
I made us all some fancy schmancy name tags.
They were so fun to make!
Ever since I missed AZ GNO I've wanted to make some.
(Keep reading for a how-to)
We each brought a festive yummy treat!
And we were supposed to come dressed to kill :)
So I fancified my eyes.
I used fake eyelashes for the first time.
They were difficult to say the least.
I made ruffled headbands for everyone to take home.
And Jaime had a fun crafty craft for us to do,
since it was a crafty Halloween party - Tasha's Fabric Pumpkins!
She had such cute fabric for us to use.
I even won a prize from Jaime because everyone liked the hot cocoa I brought.
But the prize really should have gone to the Cocoa Latte Machine :)
It was a magical evening and it was so fun to meet
Tasha, Kristen and Jenn in real life!
Ok, here's a quick how-to on how I made the
Fancy Shmancy Name Tags!
Gather your supplies:
- Cupcake liners (I found these festive foil liners at the grocery store)
- Patterned Scrapbook Paper
- Feathers
- Tulle
- Ribbon
- Pin backs
Figure out how you want to layer them with the scrapbook paper.
You can cut the cupcake liners smaller by
folding the liner in half and cutting around the edge.
I used the Silhouette to cut a fancy doily shape for the final layer.
Use hot glue to secure the layers together.
Next, take your tulle, ribbon, and feathers
to add a little something and make them extra fancy.
I started with the ribbon - glued it to the back.
Then scrunched the strip of tulle and glue it on top of the ribbon.
Finally, I glued the feathers down.
I wanted to secure the extras so they wouldn't fall off,
so I took a piece of cardstock and glued it over the bag.
Finally, glue your pin back to the back
and your Fancy Shmancy Name Tags are ready to go!
Now, go make some!
